The medieval Hanseatic League was a community
of trading cities covering all countries in the area of the North and Baltic Seas. Reliability and a penchant for trading were the ingredients of its on-going success. Our group of companies was "born" in the Hanseatic city of Bremen. Its name “Hanseatic Lloyd” stands for trustworthiness, fairness and confidence. As a symbol of an active partnership we offer our hand – after all for Hanseatic merchants the handshake is today still their binding promise.
